The Palm Beach Post reports that FPL has shut down an 839-megawatt nuclear reactor unit at its St. Lucie power plant due to flooding from Tropical Storm Fay.
The report cited an FPL spokesperson as saying the St. Lucie 1 reactor was taken offline early Wednesday morning, while the 839- megawatt St. Lucie 2 reactor continues to work at full capacity.
