St. Lucie nuclear plant: the good news, the bad news

The "good news" is that the one-minute sounding of all 90 sirens you heard at noon today emanating from the St. Lucie power plant were, the Sun-Sentinel tells us, just part of a quarterly test of the plant's outdoor warning sirens.

If you ever happen to hear those sirens sounding for a period of, say, five-minutes, well ... let's just say that you'll know you've got "bad news."
